Thematic Line LT-MI

AIMS

The thematic line Mathematics for Industry (TL-MI) intends to promote the collaboration between CIDMA members, from different research groups, with society, in particular with industry.

SCOPE AND HISTORY

LT-MI is a research and development thematic line of the Center for Research and Development in Mathematics and Applications (CIDMA) of the University of Aveiro. The thematic line officially started its activity in Jan 1^st, 2019, and has emerged to address challenges in industrial environments, which often requires multidisciplinary teams.LT-MI:

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

The expected outcomes of TL-MI are:

• Support the application to European and FCT projects (e.g., CoLABs);
• Promotion and dissemination of mathematical applications through events, visits to companies, etc;
• Organization of meetings (ESGI, Industrial Days. Etc.) to stimulate the collaboration between CIDMA members and the industry;
• Participation in EU-MATHS-IN and ECMI events.
